LPSO Unidentifed Male

During the overnight hours on September 3, 2014, Deputies with the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 28370 LA Highway 63 located in Livingston in reference to a vehicle theft complaint.

 Deputies learned from the victim that a 2007 Blue Chevrolet Silverado was stolen. Inside that stolen vehicle was the victim’s wallet – which contained his personal information and credit cards.

 Deputies later learned that the victim’s credit cards were used at several locations in Livingston and St. Tammany Parishes.

 An unknown white male is seen on surveillance footage using the victim’s credit card at a convenience store in Livingston Parish during the early morning hours on September 3, 2014.Our Detectives are asking for help in identifying this unknown white male.

Chase Bank ATM Attempted Robbery
September 09, 2014

STATUS: SOLVED


Baton Rouge Police Detectives are investigating an attempted armed robbery which occurred at the Chase Bank ATM, 250 W. State St., on August 18, 2014 around 7:55pm.

 The victim, while making a transaction at the ATM, was approached by a heavy set black female suspect with small braids in her hair. The suspect produced a handgun and demanded money. The suspect struck the victim over the head with the handgun as a physical altercation ensued. The suspect then entered the victim’s vehicle, but ran away on foot after she couldn’t get it started.

 The victim suffered a minor injury to his head, but didn’t require any medical treatment at the time of incident.

Baton Rouge Police Detectives are attempting to identify the individuals in this photo who is believed to be involved in illegally purchasing items at Lee Michael’s Jewelry inside the Mall of Louisiana on August 23, 2014 around 4:00pm.

The individuals presented a counterfeit drivers license and other personal identifying information along with a credit card of a victim from Florida and purchased items in excess of $29,000.00.

Dollar General Aggravated Assault
September 02, 2014

Baton Rouge Police Detectives are investigating an aggravated assault and theft from the Dollar General, 3939 Choctaw Drive, which occurred on September 1, 2014 around 9:43pm.

A black male subject entered the business and proceeded to the merchandise shelves.  An employee of the business observed the suspect placing undisclosed merchandise from the shelves into his pockets.  As the employee attempted to stop the suspect from leaving, the suspect pulled a screw driver from his back pocket to keep the employee at a distance as he continued to exit the store with the undisclosed merchandise.

The suspect in the attached photograph is described as a thin build black male, 6’0”-160lbs wearing a white t-shirt, gray sweatpants with black and white shoes.

There were no reported injuries.

Armed Robbery of Hop-In Chevron Station

 The suspect in the attached photo and is described as a black male, 5’10”, 160-170lbs, late 40’s, dark skinned, short hair, last seen wearing a green shirt, tan pants and a green cap with yellow writing.

Quail Creek Burglaries - Update
August 20, 2014


Man wanted in string of burglaries in Prairieville

 APSO is asking for the public’s help in locating a man who is responsible for a rash of vehicle burglaries that took place in the Quail Creek Subdivision in Prairieville on Tuesday, August 19.
 Steven Vasquez, 33, was identified via surveillance video as the suspect after it was aired in the media.

“All seven of the vehicle burglaries that occurred somewhere between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. on August 19 were all unlocked vehicles,” said Major Kevin Hanna.

 Major Hanna encourages everyone to lock their vehicles and do not leave valuables in plain sight.

 He is facing charges of six counts simple burglary, simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, two counts felony theft, five counts misdemeanor theft, and seven counts trespassing.

APSO seeking early morning burglar
Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives are looking for a male suspect caught on surveillance camera while entering an unlocked vehicle in the Quail Creek Subdivision in Prairieville on Tuesday, August 19.

Chief Tony Bacala indicates that the same suspect may be responsible for at least six other burglaries that also occurred the same day in or around the Quail Creek Subdivision.
It is believed that the suspect is traveling on foot going from house to house pulling on vehicle door handles and entering those vehicles that are left unlocked.
“All seven of the vehicle burglaries that occurred somewhere between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. on Tuesday were all unlocked vehicles,” said Chief Bacala.
Chief Bacala encourages everyone to lock their vehicles and do not leave valuables in plain sight.
