2017 HOMICIDE ON NORTH FOSTER/EVANGELINE

Detectives with the Baton Rouge Police Department are looking for information on a 2017 Homicide that took the life of Denise Williams.

On October 19, 2017, around 8pm, Williams was the passenger in a vehicle that was stopped at the intersection of North Foster and Evangeline.  Witnesses told Police that a man walked up to the vehicle and fired a single shot inside, fatally striking Williams.  Investigators have not identified the shooter and do not know his motive for shooting her.

Missing Person-UPDATE ON 3-12-2019

UPDATE:  THE EAST FELICIANA PARISH SHERIFF'S OFFICE HAS IDENTIFIED A BODY FOUND IN THE AMITE RIVER ON SUNDAY, MARCH 9 AS THAT OF TIMMY DANIELS.   SHERIFF JEFF TRAVIS SAYS THE CASE IS BEING INVESTIGATED AS A HOMICIDE.  IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION ON THIS CASE, PLEASE CALL CRIME STOPPERS AT 225-344-(STOP) 7867, TEXT CS225 TO CRIMES (274637) OR SUBMIT AN ANONYMOUS TIP HERE ON OUR WEBSITE. 

 

The Baton Rouge Police Department is searching for the individual in the attached photograph identified as Timmy Daniels, 18. Daniels is around 5’6”, 125lbs with black hair and brown eyes.

Daniels was last seen in the Scotlandville area on February 10, 2019 and has not been seen or heard from since. The possibility of foul play cannot be ruled out.

2008 Unsolved Homicide on North Acadian Thruway
February 26, 2019

On the November 7, 2008, Baton Rouge Police Officers responded to Ted’s Barber Shop at 2701 North Acadian Thruway East, relative to a shooting.  The 21 year old victim, Michael Edwards, was found shot multiple times.  He was transported to a local hospital but did not survive.

As part of the investigation, Homicide Detectives learned that all of the witnesses to the shooting fled the area just prior to the arrival of the Police Department. Can you help with this unsolved homicide?

PANTY THEFT

PANTY THIEVES!!! The Mandeville Police Department is asking for assistance in identifying the two individuals in the attached photos. On January 30, 2019, their officers were dispatched to a local retailer on HWY 190 relative to a shoplifting incident where approximately 3000 pair of underwear were stolen. (Just in time for Valentine's Day!)

ARMED ROBBERY
January 18, 2019

The Baton Rouge Police Armed Robbery Division is currently investigating several armed robberies of different Metro PCS stores.  Attached are photos of the suspect vehicle, possibly a dark colored Nissan sedan or similar vehicle.  The suspects are described as Black males, approx. 5’3 150 pounds, with black semi-auto handguns, one with a laser attachment.

Homicide
January 02, 2019

            Sheriff Brett Stassi reports that the body that was found off Sidney Road in Rosedale early Monday morning has been identified as Travis D. Smart, 28, of Baton Rouge.

 

            Detectives are investigating his murder and ask that anyone with information contact the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office at 255-687-3553 or Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP.

Hit and Run
December 24, 2018

BRPD is looking for a suspected Hit and Run vehicle. The vehicle is a Black 2014-2018 Mercedes Benz COA. This vehicle is involved in a Hit and Run on 12/24/18 at approx. 1834 at 2800 Scenic Hwy. The suspected vehicle struck a pedestrian who has sustained life threatening injuries. The vehicle will be missing its passenger side view mirror.

DOUBLE HOMICIDE

HAMMOND, LA - January 8, 2019 - As of 2:00 p.m. today, January 8, 2019, Sheriff Daniel Edwards has increased the sheriff's office reward in an on-going double investigation from $5,000 to $10,000.

The Sheriff Edwards and the TPSO are asking the for public's help by reaching out to us with any information leading us to those responsible for the double homicide that occurred on Dec. 23rd, claiming the lives of a mother and son.

42-year-old Daytra Miller and 13-year-old Robert West Jr. were shot to death inside of their home on Labruzza Lane in Independence, LA.

At this time it is reported that Crime Stoppers of Tangipahoa has also increased their reward amount from $1,000 to up to $2,500 for information related to these two brutal murders.
