On April 1, 2008 at approximately 0141 hours BRPD Uniform Officers were dispatched to 2100 Dallas Dr. relative to a disturbance and shots fired in the parking lot. Upon arrival, Officers observed the victim - Rickey R. Mitchell, Jr. deceased. Detectives believe Mitchell and his passenger (not shot) were driving in through the heavy traffic in the area of Club Dreams when Mitchell was shot. Mitchell was driving a 1983 Oldsmobile Cutlass red in color.
