On September, 1, 2006 at 9:22p.m., Uniform Officers were dispated to the 200 block of East Washington on a shots fired call. When Uniform Officers arrived on the scene, the saw the victim, Sandra Hicks, lying on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Sandra later died from the gunshots. The Officers that responded to the call were already in the area and arrived on the scene less than 30 seconds after the shots were fired. Detectives believe that who ever committed this homicide lives in the area.
