On November 17, 2007, East Baton Rouge Sheriff Office Detectives responded to a drive by shooting that occurred at 10872 Leton Dr. When Detectives arrived on the scene, Cesar Reyes Ramirez was found shot in the right temple of the head. The victim died as a result of the gunshot wound on November 21, 2007.
Ramirez was shot while standing outside talking to another male when the observed a dark colored SUV, possibly a Ford Explorer with tinted windows driving erradically pass by. The two males continued talking and approximately two minutes later, the SUV passed by again. The SUV stopped with the passenger side window rolled down and approximately four shots were fired hitting the suspect and the SUV fled the scene at a rapid pace.
