The Homicide of Andre Turner

On December 3, 2007 at 1630 hours , East Feliciana Sheriff's Office received a call reporting a hunter had found a burned body located off Hwy 964 near the intersection of US Hwy 61.  The body was later identified as Andre Turner.  His body appeared to have been dumped at the location and set afire.

Detectives believe that on December 2, 2007 at approximately 1:00a.m. that Turner was picked up in the Port Hudson area at a local junkyard.  Turner had told others the he would be back later with the two females that he was leaving with.  Turner said that they were going to "hit a lick" in St. Francisville.  The West Feliciana Sheriff's Office was called to an armed robbery early in the morning of December 2, 2007.  The owner of Bailey's Bar had been robbed at gunpoint.
After the robbery, Andre Turner was seen flashing large amounts of cash.  Turner then went to a local motel on US Hwy 61 north of Alsen and checked in at approximately 3:30a.m.

On December 7, 2007 at 11:18p.m., West Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office responded to a fire at the Wal-Mart parking lot.  The vehicle is believed to be the one that the victim and two females left the junkyard in.  The vehicle appears to have been set afire intentionally in an effort to destroy evidence from the robbery and murder.
